Ryan Abiang won the men’s freestyle final at the Beijing Parkour World Cup on Saturday, 31 October 2026, and with it secured the 2026 overall World Cup title. The 18-year-old posted 31.0 points at Shougang Park’s ski big-air venue, claiming the first World Cup gold of his career and only the second for the United States in the discipline’s history.

Half a point under the big air

Low landings and moves not fully opened cost him on execution, and he finished third with 30.3 points, 0.7 points behind the American.

Hitz took silver with 30.50, just 0.5 points behind Abiang.

A first gold and a debut crown

Abiang arrived in Beijing with only one previous World Cup medal, a bronze in Montpellier. His freestyle victory was the first U.S. parkour World Cup gold since Audrey Johnson’s 2024 win in Portugal and just the second in the nation’s history.

The overall series title, decided on each athlete’s best two results across the campaign, went to the American teenager the moment his name hit the top of the Beijing leaderboard. At 18, a debut World Cup gold had also delivered a World Cup crown.
