Khost did not expect this. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium on 10 July 2026, Hassan Eisakhil turned a friendly against Uzbekistan into a demonstration of controlled violence, striking an unbeaten 120 from 34 balls. Sixteen of those deliveries cleared the rope. Four more found the boundary along the ground. The century arrived in 28 balls. When Afghanistan XI closed on 323 for seven, the contest was already decided.
Thirty-four balls in Khost
Eisakhil opened the innings and never surrendered the initiative. Alongside Imran Mir, he built a first-wicket partnership of 181, reached inside the first ten overs of the match. Mir made 74 in support, but the tempo belonged to the younger man. He hit through the line, cleared the field square and straight, and treated length as an invitation. The strike rate climbed past 350 and stayed there. By the time the stand was broken, Afghanistan XI had a platform few sides recover from and none exploit better.
The rest of the order kept the scoreboard moving. Faisal Khan Shinozada added 31, Noor ul Rahman 29, and the total of 323 for seven left Uzbekistan chasing a target beyond their reach. In reply, the visitors were held to 124 for seven from their twenty overs, the Afghan bowlers sharing the work and conceding little. The margin — 199 runs — told the plainest version of the story. Eisakhil was named Player of the Match.
