Amal Mogador of Essaouira gave Morocco its first title at the Beach Soccer Clubs World Cup on Sunday in Alanya, beating Paraguay's Sportivo Luqueño 11–8 in the final of the World Winners Cup Alanya 2026.
Five from Chiky Ardil, one lead never lost
Chiky Ardil struck first for Mogador straight from the kick-off, only for Cantero to level from a spot kick moments later. Rodrigo then put Luqueño 2–1 ahead with a bicycle kick, and Ramy answered with a bicycle kick of his own to make it 2–2.
Ramy converted a penalty, and Chiky Ardil struck twice — one a bicycle kick — to stretch the score to 6–2. Alouate added two more goals and Chiky Ardil scored again, sending Mogador into the final period 9–2 in front inside the 23 Projects International Beach Sports Centre.
Late surge arrives too late
Thanger and Cantero each found the net to cut the gap to 10–5, and Kuman's successful spot kick made it 11–5.
Martinez scored with a bicycle kick before Thanger and Rodrigo converted late penalties inside the final minute. The Paraguayan side's three-goal flurry could not overturn the advantage, and Mogador closed the seven-day tournament with seven consecutive wins and no defeats. Chiky Ardil was named tournament MVP, and teammate Pablo Lopez took the Best Goalkeeper award.
Seven straight, one national first
The route to the final was unbroken: a 6–3 semi-final win over Ukraine's BSC Sunrise Kyiv followed knockout victories over Saudi Arabia's Al Taawoun and Kuwait's Al Qadsia. In the group stage, Mogador beat Rostocker 5–2, Bonyhad 12–2 and Partizan 4–3 after extra time.
Until Sunday, no Moroccan club had lifted it. That first belongs to the side from Essaouira and to a final that ran away before it was chased back.
