Mizuho Hasegawa won the women’s park world title at the World Skate Games in Asunción with 91.00 points ahead of Sky Brown’s 89.50, her second world championship at the Games after winning vert a week earlier.
A washout, then command
The decision came before the final run, when Brown could not land the Rodeo ender she needed to overturn the Japanese skater’s control of the contest. Hasegawa had suffered a washout the night before the final and still steered every stage of the event.
The session was shaped by attrition from the start: Yi-Fan Lin missed her signature Sugarcane, finals debutante Hikari Satake landed a strong opener, and Kokona Hiraki — already nursing a hip injury from warm-ups — bruised her palm while protecting it yet delivered a third run described as heroic. After run three the middle of the field was locked, leaving the top two more than nine points clear of the rest.
